Owner Built: Northern New Mexico
Surrounded by National Forest Land
Extraordinary site,       Extraordinary clients
                 & "off-the-grid".

Owner-built, with kudos to a nephew, and some wonderful friends....The house is set in a privately held valley fully surrounded by National Forest.

Walls are constructed of 2 ft. thick exposed rammed earth juxtaposed with bright galvanized steel on studs.

The interior is continuously rimmed in light and New Mexico mountain sky by a clerestory wrapping exposed steel web-joist roof framing.

An entire wall of folding glass doors opens at one end.
Heating is hydronic in-slab radiant; electricity from solar panels.

Kitchen, dining, and living unit is a separate building from the master bedroom - walking outside to get inside, the occupants are continuously connecting to the landscape.

An outdoor shower completes the indoor-outdoor living experience.
