Over 40 years of experience programming, designing and detailing various buildings. For Carolyn, the client’s needs and programming + layout of spaces are top priorities.
Carolyn’s belief is that the spaces and buildings in which people work, learn, play and live should continually enhance the experience of life. She will meet with you or your group, listening and working with the design team to match the building with your needs and vision.
Prior to Siegel Design Architects: experience with various architecture firms in Los Angeles, California and Albuquerque.
Carolyn worked in Los Angeles with Glenn Fleck, filmmaker for Charles and Ray Eames, developing models for both the FDR Memorial in Washington D.C. and a new city in the middle east. Similarly, she worked on an Economics Exhibit for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco under the guidance of Ray Eames and Lathrop & Associates in association with Deborah Sussman.

Jonathan’s professional work spans over 40 years, both with our firm and including previous employment with several larger firms. Projects have included medical, commercial and residential facilities in addition to many governmental, educational and institutional contracts.
Jonathan enjoys all phases of the design process, and enjoys both large scale vision as well as small detail. He will leap into furniture design and nuanced detail, while always keeping the larger scale goals in mind. He is outgoing and curious and internally demanding, seeking refined clarity in harmonious and calm solutions.
With construction experience prior to architectural licensure, he both loves and takes a serious interest in the crafts and trades and the logical assembly of all the component systems.
This approach helps each job run smoothly, and the ongoing feedback informs the design and drawings for each subsequent project as well. His experience serving on the City Planning Commission means that he brings the additional dimension of context to each project, and can guide a project through regulatory steps.
