We are always testing, and enjoying the process.

1989 addition:  passive solar living room of adobe with steel framing.  We earned numerous awards for this innovative work which remains serene and timeless.

2020 addition: passive solar master suite of adobe, wood and concrete with a colorful curved walk-in shower.

Light, views, acoustics, proportion and privacy are carefully modulated.

Raw materials establish a refined presence and low maintenance.

The original core of the house was built in 1939; various changes in that portion have clarified functions while playfully shaping spaces. The whole integrates outdoors and indoors and is a relaxed environment for one, two or 100 people.
