VALLEY CASITA – GUEST HOUSE
Village of Los Ranchos, New Mexico
The Owners requested a separated guest house for an elderly family member on a 2-acre valley property.
We developed a simple cheerful suite, with a contemporary regional aesthetic and full accessibility with respect to mobility and ADA.
An open plan evolved with a private sleeping area. Porches modify the daylight & sunlight of passive solar trombe wall and provide transition space/social extensions of the interior.
We carefully sited between old cottonwood trees and xeric landscaping, always mindful of adjacencies to the main residence.
